ROSA Group, of which Ital Pole Distribution is the only distributor on the national territory, has calculated the carbon footprint for the aluminum poles produced in 2021.
The data obtained were compared with the carbon footprint of the production of steel poles of corresponding lengths. To determine the emissions generated during the production of steel poles, the emission factors of the Ecoinvent 3.6 database were adopted.
The calculated carbon footprint covers emissions from raw material extraction to pole production, transportation and disposal. The test results show that approximately 37.7% less CO2 is generated during the production of an anodized aluminum pole than during the production of the equivalent in galvanized steel.
Comparing the carbon footprint with 2020, the average carbon footprint value for 2021 decreased by 6.17% (the average result for a pole with a length of 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 m is approximately 129.82 kg eCO2 in 2021 and 138.36 kg eCO2 in 2020).
What contributed to the reduction of the carbon footprint of ROSA branded products?

The survey was conducted by ROSA Group employees in accordance with the methodology developed by Bureau Veritas Polska for the previous carbon footprint regulation period, in line with the GHG Product Life Cycle Accounting and Reporting Standard protocol.
